English?

Your Linguistic Profile:

55% General American English

35% Dixie

10% Yankee

0% Midwestern

0% Upper Midwestern

I find it quite interesting that I live in the Heartland of America and yet I have 0% of those speaking traits.
I can't decide if that's a good thing.

It's a good thing! *grin*

I'm listening to my kids very closely so they don't pick up the accent.

BTW, here are my results.

60% General American English
25% Yankee
15% Dixie
0% Midwestern
0% Upper Midwestern

There were no options for some of the things I say, though. For example, it's a route (out) when it's a highway, except for Route 66, of course! *grin* It's a route (root) when it's travelled by a delivery person or a newspaper carrier.

I also use both cellar and basement. No option for that choice.
